Please sign this petition below to ask the U.S. House & Senate Ways & Means Committees to include ECCA in the federal budget reconciliation package.:
Dear Honorable Representatives and Senators of the Ways & Means Committees,
We, a collective of Catholic families across New England, respectively request that you include the tax credit language of the Educational Choice for Children Act (H.R. 833, S. 292) in your recommended tax plan for the federal budget reconciliation this May.
We also urge you to maintain ECCA's most important provisions: $10 billion with a 100% credit on the donation by taxpayers.
Parents are the first and primary educators of their children and, therefore, have the right to select the best educational environment for their children. This legislation would provide families in all fifty states the opportunity to select the best educational environment for their children. The legislation also includes strong religious liberty protections, which will help ensure that private and religious institutions can participate, including almost six thousand U.S. Catholic schools.
This tax incentive would open the doors for so many students to schools that best suit their needs.
Students would be able to focus on learning the fundamentals of academics alongside learning how to live the good life in their faiths. For many families, these are inseparable lessons.
Thank you for this once in a generation opportunity.
